This results in each design becoming a lasting companion with a distinctive, understated character.

Barber + Osgerby
Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby form the internationally successful design studio Barber + Osgerby, which was founded in East London in 1996. Since then, they have designed numerous award-winning furniture, lighting, and everyday objects with their unconventional, thoughtful design language.
Barber + Osgerby designed the LUNAR bathroom and home range for Authentics — a series of functional bathroom accessories.
The LUNAR series thus creates a well-thought-out bathroom design that elegantly combines everyday life, style and functionality.

Stefan Diez
Stefan Diez was born in Freising in 1971. After an apprenticeship as a carpenter and studies in industrial design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, he founded his own studio in Munich in 2003 – Studio Diez Office. He is one of the leading German industrial designers of the younger generation. For Authentics, Stefan Diez designed the "PAPER" series, including the A2-sized bag. This bag is made of the synthetic material Tyvek – light as paper, yet tear-resistant, water-repellent, and dirt-repellent.

Doshi Levien
Doshi Levien is a renowned design studio from London, founded in 2000 by Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien.
The duo understands design as an interface between cultures, craftsmanship, and industrial production. Their work arises from the conscious interplay of form, color, material, and function—never casually, but carefully considered.
Doshi Levien designed the KALI bathroom and hygiene collection for Authentics. The series includes a mirrored cabinet and around a dozen functional accessories.

Konstantin Grcic
Authentics has been working with Konstantin Grcic for many decades — a collaboration that perfectly combines design, functionality and industrial everyday usability.
He shares with Authentics the ambition to create good design for everyday life — design that not only looks beautiful, but is also practical and durable.
Grcic is one of the international leading figures in industrial design: His designs – including those for other brands – have received numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro and the German Design Award.

Marti Guixe
Martí Guixé is a Spanish designer (born 1964) who lives and works in Barcelona and Berlin.
Martí Guixé designed the ROLL BAG for Authentics — a functional, versatile bag characterized by easy handling, robust material and variable usability.
The bag is made from recycled, weather-resistant coated PET fabric, is available in several sizes (S and M) and colors, and can be opened and closed intuitively thanks to its clever roll-top closure system. Whether as a toiletry bag, for sports and leisure, as a compact travel companion, or for storage – the ROLL BAG adapts flexibly to its contents and needs.

Hertel Klarhoefer
Hertel & Klarhoefer is a design office from Berlin, which is listed under this name as the responsible designers for the 355 shelving system.
Their approach is characterized by intelligent simplicity: with just a few components – two shelves of different lengths – they create a highly flexible, modular furniture system. Every detail is well thought out – from the identical surface on the front and back (important for freestanding shelves or room dividers) to the clever packaging and expansion logic.

Tom Higgs
Tom Higgs is a designer whose studio is known for clear, practical products – with the aim of making things no more complicated than they need to be. His studio places great emphasis on understanding materials, simple functionality, and intuitive use.
With the Higgs designed 2STOP, a universal, non-slip double wedge made of thermoplastic. This small, practical door and window stopper reliably holds doors, cabinets, or windows open—on almost any type of flooring.
The 4HOT series showcases Higgs' sense of function: Four heat-resistant silicone octahedrons serve as compact trivets for hot pots and pans. They protect surfaces, can be stored in a space-saving manner, and are dishwasher-safe.

Matthew Hilton
Matthew Hilton is a British designer known for his clean, functional furniture designs — and an important partner of Authentics. His WAIT design was created in 1997 and brought him international acclaim.
Hilton's design approach—minimalist, functional, and made for everyday life—perfectly reflects the spirit of Authentics: durable, practical objects that function reliably while remaining simply beautiful. With WAIT, a furniture classic was created that effortlessly combines style and everyday life.

Hopf + Wortmann
Benjamin Hopf and Constantin Wortmann founded their joint design studio, Büro für Form, in Munich in 1998. Their collaboration was characterized by a passion for light, furniture, and product design, with the clear intention of combining industrial manufacturing and creative design.
Hopf & Wortmann designed the STAND UP floor lamp for Authentics: a powerful statement piece made of white polyethylene with a striking, teardrop-shaped form. The lamp is 160 cm high and has a diameter of 42 cm.

Jehs + Laub
Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub met while studying industrial design at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Design. In 1994, they founded their joint studio "Jehs+Laub" in Stuttgart. Since then, they have designed furniture, lighting, and everyday objects for international brands.
With the Authentics PILL hot water bottle, Jehs + Laub have reinterpreted the traditional metal hot water bottle: The archetypal, gently rounded design is reminiscent of classics from bygone eras, but is made of modern, heat-resistant, rubber-like plastic. The bottle is easy to fill thanks to a pull-out funnel.
With the Authentics ENTRANCE series, Jehs + Laub transfer the same design approach to products around the entrance.

Heinz Klein
Heinz Klein is the creative mind behind the iconic Lumibär lighting design.
He designed this lovingly shaped decorative lamp back in 1995 – creating a lighting object that has become a true classic.

Monika Lipken Cutt
Monika Lipken Cutts is a designer specializing in lighting and light objects. She designs with a keen sense of form, material, and atmosphere.
With EGGO, Monika Lipken Cutts embodies the spirit of Authentics: design that makes no compromises in function and material — and at the same time impresses with its atmosphere and aesthetics. Her lamps are both everyday companions and statement pieces: reliable, durable, and evocative.

Hansjerg Maier-Aichen
Hansjerg Maier-Aichen was born in Stuttgart in 1940. He studied painting and sculpture in Germany, France, and the USA.
In 1983 he founded the brand Authentics — and thus shaped a new vision for everyday objects: simple, functional and aesthetically reduced products that are industrially manufactured.
Maier-Aichen did not see plastic as a cheap, disposable material, but as a versatile, malleable material with great design potential. His aim was to rethink everyday objects—not as banal tools, but as products with design quality, functionality, and durability.

Catarina von Matern - Lisa Lindström
Catarina von Matern and Lisa Lindström are the creative duo behind the distinctive YOYO lamp for Authentics.
Their designs aim for sustainable, meaningful solutions that simultaneously make an aesthetic statement. With YOYO, they demonstrate how a lamp and furniture can be one and the same.

Patrik Nadeau
Patrick Nadeau is a French designer and architect who specializes in the interplay of architecture, nature and interior design.
For Authentics, Nadeau designed the URBAN GARDEN series — a flexible, textile planting system made of planting bags and sacks that does without classic plant pots or planters.
The URBAN GARDEN bags can be attached to the wall or ceiling, stacked vertically or arranged in combination as a "hanging garden" — ideal for apartments, offices or restaurants with little floor space.

Johannes Steinbauer
Johannes Steinbauer founded his studio “steinbauer design” in 2012.
He combines his design background in craftsmanship with sound industrial design knowledge; this is evident in Buco, a compact, elegant umbrella stand designed by him, made from concrete and cork.
Aura is a modern bathroom series with accessories such as waste bins, toilet brushes, and other items. The products combine high-quality materials (second-use aluminum, recycled plastics) with intelligent, functional design.

Christina Velardo
Christina Velardo, née Schäfer, is a designer with a passion for functional, clever everyday objects. For Authentics, she designed the colorful and practical EIKO series, which impresses with its fresh design and high level of everyday usability.

Veronika Wildgruber - Susa Stofer
Veronika Wildgruber and Susanne Stofer designed the WARDROPE wardrobe for Authentics: A polyamide rope, mounted to the ceiling, carries four freely movable Y-hooks – once weight is applied, they automatically lock into place and securely hold the clothing. The WARDROPE design has received international acclaim: In 2011, it won the iF Product Design Award.
